This position parallels our current Assistant Superintendent for Student Growth by focusing on Teacher Development. Along with Dr. Chitwood, the Superintendent, these three positions comprise the core educational leadership team at Mingo Valley Christian.
This role is focused on teachers – their recruiting, training, supervision, encouragement, support, and full-orbed development. Communication and relationship skills are essential – with parents, students, leadership team, other staff, and most especially, with teachers.
The position requires experience in educational administration, and an advanced degree is preferred. A successful applicant for this position would probably, though not necessarily, be presently in school administration.
Is your heart most drawn to developing teachers? Do you want to see students pursue the fullness of God's created intent for them? Is some of your greatest satisfaction found helping teachers make the greatest, godly difference for kids? Would you like to try this in a somewhat different structure, designed to keep the main thing, the main thing?
Are you experienced and skilled in many aspects of educational administration, while being most encouraged and impassioned by growing teachers to be their very best? Do you love imagining that the Lord might use you to make that sort of difference in His work for His Kingdom?
Do you have a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and a commitment to a local church body where the Word is taught and lived among strong believers? This might be a place where you come to pursue your call from the Lord a little bit differently, and see great fruit in the lives of teachers, students, and parents.
This position requires a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree strongly preferrred.
