SECONDARY STUDENT LEADERSHIP AND CLUBS

Chapel Leadership Team
Students have an opportunity to serve on the Chapel Leadership Team throughout the school year. These students, along with a faculty member,  meet to develop themes for the chapel services, come up with music and speakers, and minister to the student body.

The Citadel
The Citadel is an honor society of MVCS within the Nehemiah Project. Initiation into the Citadel is dependent upon an applicant's desire to be a member, their character, and their record of service and leadership. Citadel members have ongoing opportunities for leadership development under the direction of the Student Leadership team.

Tech Team
Tech Team is open to 7th – 12th grade students who are interested in sound, stage lighting, computers, networks, and technical theater.

Key Club
Open to 9th-12th graders, Key Club is a community service club sponsored by the Kiwanis of Tulsa. Students elect officers and participate in community projects.

National Honor Society
Academically eligible students in grades 10-12 and grades 7-9 (Junior Honor Society) participate in this honorable student organization after nomination has been approved by a Faculty Council.

Nehemiah Project
This secondary school wide leadership development program offers 7th-12th grade students the opportunity to participate in projects focusing on service, worldview, ethics/etiquette, and discovering purpose.

TGIF-Thank Goodness It's Foreign
The MVCS Foreign Language Club (TGIF) exists to aid Mingo students in reaching other nations with the Gospel of Christ" (II Cor. 5:20). TGIF students sponsor ayoung girl from Mexico and a young boy from Haiti. TGIF also sponsors a Spring Bible drive to send Bibles around the world.
