School Day - Homework

Homework is part of our character training, encouraging responsibility, organization and diligence. The following is our general policy on homework:

• Teachers are sensitive to nights that children have additional activities. 

• Length of homework will be on the average :

• K4 & K5 =  none, except in special cases

• 1st - 3rd = 20 minutes per day

• 4th = 30-45 minutes per day

• 5th & 6th = 45-60 minutes per day

• 7th - 12th = 1-2 hours per day

Homework at MVCS should:

• acquaint the parents with work his child is doing;

• promote the wise use of leisure time;

• further challenge the abilities of the pupils; and

• establish certain character traits in the students.

Homework is not a punishment.
