Activities - Fundraising

Fund raising is not over-done at MVCS, however, it is necessary to raise funds to meet our general budget. During the course of the year the school conducts the following fund raising events:

• Walk-a-thon- Our elementary students seek pledges from family and friends for number of laps walked (or run) around our property.  It’s a fun day and a rewarding event.
• Christmas Program Offering – This is simply an opportunity for our friends and family to make a gift donation to our school.
• Serv-a-thon – Our secondary students volunteer in our own community, doing service projects in places such as, parks, nursing homes, low income public schools etc.  Friends and family reward the students’ hard work with donations to benefit our school.
• Others as directed by the School Board

All donations are tax deductible. Donations are encouraged and appreciated at any time. .

Charitable Causes

In addition to fundraising to benefit our school, MVCS reaches out to the community to give back to the community.  Each Spring our elementary students enjoy Spirit Week.  Spirit Week is an exciting time of creative challenges and activities.  But most importantly, it is a time for our school families to join efforts to collect food for the John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa.  This is such a huge success that John 3:16 Mission recognizes us as one of their primary donors each year.

Our students also participate in Operation Christmas Child.  This program, run by the Franklin Graham ministries, sends shoeboxes full of special treats and necessities to children in third world nations so that they may experience the joy and love of Christmas. It’s a great opportunity for our students to be reminded of their own blessings.
